Originally, hardwood paneling was used as a means to seal a room from cold drafts, but almost immediately became showcase for craftsmanship, with artistic expression reaching its peak in the 18th century.

Our custom doors are carefully handcrafted with stile-and-rail frame and panel construction, in keeping with the tradition of fine cabinetmaking. We use only select quality, hand-sorted, color-matched, cabinet grade hardwood - accepting no finger jointed or laminated butcher-block frame materials--from a wide selection of wood species. Thick veneer stave-core doors are also available to enhance stability.

Local artisans with many years of furniture and door carving experience perform the custom door carving and relief work. Each hardwood door is painted, or stained and top-coated with a commercial-grade finishes in our finishing facility.

Preferring Baldwin, Rocky Mountain and other equally high-quality locksets and hinges, only the finest hardware is used. These doors are designed and built to last hundreds of years in your home. For such a large step up in quality and distinction with so small of a price difference, we believe that their quality and value cannot be matched.

We use new and antique, imported and domestic: oak, maple, cherry, ash, hickory, mahogany, cypress, cedar, walnut, heart pine, and many other species in a variety of grades and cuts for our custom hardwood doors.
